Rex is regal! He seems to have an alpha personality but is still tolerant of our two adopted greyhounds. Rex shows no aggression, but the other dogs just seem to acknowledge he is in charge.

He rides well, seems to like looking forward like a backseat driver, but soon just falls asleep. He loves attention but doesn't pester you for it. Doctor Tom, his owner for 6 years did a great job training him. He will sit or lay down on command. HE SMILES! HE CLICKS (vibrates lower jaw) when he is happy. (a lot) He is excellent on the leash. The neighborhood children met him the afternoon of Rex's first day with us when we walked him, and he was friendly, approachable, didn't mind their excited chatter and petting, licked their hands, when their mother walked up Rex reached his nose up to try to lick her face. She just melted! She explained her little ones had always been afraid of dogs and couldn't believe what she had been watching. We will have a hard time giving this sweet boy up as fosters.

Rex is in excellent health. He has all of his teeth and has no gum disease. He is in great physical shape, has a beautiful healthy coat. He does have an undercoat and enjoys an occasional brushing outside. This will minimize shedding inside. We do not have a fenced yard and I walk him with our two adopted greyhounds 3 or 4 times a day. Rex barks when he needs to go out, and is crate trained. He will join you in bed if you invite him, and loves an occasional pat or rub on whatever part of him is within your reach.

Although we have only been fostering Rex for a few days, I feel he would work well for someone in an apartment and with children old enough to know not to hurt his eyes or otherwise abuse him, including letting him out with no leash or fenced yard. Rex would be ideal for a couple of grandparents who take an occasional road trip and/or have their grandchildren visit them.

Rex's previous owner knew Rex needed more attention and deserved more than spending his day in a crate alone during the week. As sweet as Rex is, that selflessness on Dr Tom's part is really admirable. I salute him.
